Founded in 1908, Lancaster Country Day School has been providing a challenging, supportive, and joyful college preparatory education for more than 110 years.
Our talented teachers are committed to helping our students grow intellectually and emotionally, so that they leave LCDS prepared to face any challenge they encounter.
Knowledge is highly valued here. Students are encouraged to immerse themselves in a wide range of challenging courses, as well as extracurriculars in the arts, athletics, and service learning. Our students are also strongly encouraged to get involved in their larger community.
Our expectations are uncommonly high – but so is our level of support. Caring and accessible, our teachers, mentors, and coaches treat our students as unique individuals. We believe that, through meaningful interaction with peers and attentive adults, young people develop analytical and creative approaches to practical problem solving that will serve them well through college and beyond.
